Customer React Native App (iOS & Android / Expo): Built an intuitive, lightweight mobile application allowing users to search for skilled professionals in their area, browse verified profiles, negotiate services, book appointments, make secure payments, and rate services.
Service-Provider React Native App (iOS & Android / Expo): Engineered a specialized utility app for service providers to manage their business profiles, upload credentials for verification, toggle active/inactive availability, receive instant lead alerts, negotiate quotes with clients, and track earnings.
Customer & Service-Provider Marketplace Workflows: Developed the matching logic and quote negotiation pipelines, allowing customers and providers to settle on rates, agree on service timelines, handle scheduling, and trigger automated feedback loop surveys.
Admin Operations & Category Management: Implemented an administrative operations suite with granular roles for team members to moderate categories, verify provider credentials (ID checks, certificates), handle disputes, view transaction metrics, and manage the category taxonomy.

Technical Scope

The architecture was designed for low-bandwidth environments, ensuring smooth performance on average Nigerian mobile networks:

Expo / React Native: Unified codebase for customer and provider apps to ensure rapid iteration, seamless push notifications, and access to device features like camera (for document verification) and GPS location.
Geofenced Discovery: Enabled high-performance location-based queries using PostgreSQL/PostGIS and Redis geolocation features to match customers only with active providers within a configurable radius.
Real-Time Messaging Pipeline: Integrated WebSocket services to facilitate negotiation between customers and professionals directly inside the app, with instant push notification fallbacks.
Dynamic Category Schema: Programmed the backend to allow administrators to add, rename, or reorder service categories (e.g., electricians, plumbers, tutoring, house cleaning) instantly without code redeployment.
Push Notification engine: Built a reliable alert dispatcher using the Expo Push API, notifying providers within milliseconds of new relevant job requests in their area.
